 The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques calls for Rain-Seeking Prayer throughout the Kingdom


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, called all Saudi citizens and expatriates for performing the rain-seeking prayer (Salat-Al-Istisqa) throughout the kingdom on Thursday, 19th November 2020.



The Royal Court issued the following statement:

Based on the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), to perform the rain prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may God preserve and protect him) called for the rain-seeking prayer throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, 4th of Rabi al-Akhir 1442 (19th Nov, 2020) as per the Umm al-Qura calendar. - Everyone should do a great deal of regret, seeking forgiveness, and returning to Allah (SWT), glory be to Him, doing good to His servants, increasing the obligatory duties of obedience, such as charities, prayers, and remembrance, and facilitating the servants of Allah and relieving their distress. 

- Perhaps Allah will release us and facilitate what we hope for, everyone who is able should try to perform Prayer, in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him), and as an expression of the lack of God Almighty, with urgency in supplication, for Allah loves among His servants a lot of supplication and insistence in it. - We ask Allah (SWT) the greatest ability to have mercy on the country and the people, to answer the supplications of His servants, and to make what He has revealed as a mercy and goods for them for a while, for He is Hearer and Responsible, and may God bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions and grant them peace.
