 GACA clarifies the Preventive measures taken at Saudi Airports and cases of Travel not allowed


The General Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) announced a travel guide, which contains a set of preventive and precautionary measures taken at all the airports of Saudi Arabia.



The GACA explained that it is not allowed to travel for those who do not comply with the medical disclosure and report any of the symptoms of Covid-19 during the reservation phase and the requirements also do not allow the travel to those who do not come to the airport in sufficient time before the flight.

- The authority also reveals the conditions that will not allow to travel for those whose temperatures is more than 38 degrees, in addition to passengers who do not stick to preventive measures like wearing a face mask at airport and during flight and maintaining physical distance and constant hand sterilization. - The GACA also requires expatriate residents who are more than 8 years old to present an official examination certificate from an approved authority proving that they are free from Covid-19 infection.

- The Civil Aviation Authority also stipulates sticking to the health prevention measures that impose home quarantine for those coming from outside Saudi Arabia, whether they are Saudi citizens or Expatriate residents.

- The Authority said that sterilizers have been provided throughout the 26 airports of the Kingdom, all workers and air crews are required to conduct medical examination, sterilize hands, wear face masks, gloves and protection masks in addition to continuously disinfecting all airports. - The GACA indicated that the flights will be scheduled as per the specific timetable to make sure the purification of the facilities used by travelers.
