Jeddah Health announces the launch of Trial operations of the Field Hospital with 500 beds

The General Directorate of Health Affairs in Jeddah announced the experimental start-up of the field hospital, which was built on the land of the Jeddah Exhibition Center of the Chamber of Commerce in northern Jeddah, in cooperation and participation of a number of other relevant government sectors.




The hospital will receive cases requiring moderate medical care, as well as those who have mild symptoms, until they recover, as part of precautionary measures to address the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19).

The hospital's operating plan includes a 20-bed trial run; To ensure the effectiveness and availability of the equipment and equipment that the hospital was equipped with as a first stage, in order to ensure that the operation is carried out according to the advanced prepared plans until the completion of the overall operation, The field hospital will have a capacity of 500 beds.




The hospital includes all the auxiliary medical departments represented in the "laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, nutrition and medical supplies".

Jeddah Health explained that the field hospital’s area is 8000 square meters, and all preventive and public safety and security monitoring requirements were taken into account, in order to ensure the safety of all. The hospital was also supported by many specialized medical and technical staff and some administrative cadres, in addition to providing it with medical supplies, tools and oxygen tubes; To ensure that such cases are treated with emerging coronary disease.
