Saudi Arabia announces Eid-Al-Fitr Holidays for Public and Private sector employees

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia announced the dates of Eid-Al-Fitr Holidays for both the public or government and private sector workers in the Kingdom. See Also : Health Ministry response on "Will Total Curfew be imposed after 20th Ramadan"




The Ministry revealed 16 days holidays for public sector which  the starts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Eid-Al-Fitr is from Thursday evening after the end of working hours on 21 Ramadan 1441 ( that is 14th May 2020 evening) and the work will resumes on Sunday, 8th Shawwal 1441 (31st May 2020).

- According to the Labor law, The private sector holidays for Eid-Al-Fitr is 4 days, starting from the day following 29th Ramadan that is from 23rd May 2020, As 22nd May is Friday a weekend holiday, private sector workers get holiday from 22nd May 2020 till 26th May 2020. - The Ministry highlighted that Article 112 of the Saudi Labor law stating that every worker is entitled to get full time leave on holidays on occasions specified by regulations.
