5.1 Magnitude Earthquake hits in Tehran Province, At least 2 people Dead
A powerful earthquake of 5.1 magnitude hits Tehran province in Iran early on Friday causing at least 2 deaths and injuring 11, As per the announcement of Iran's emergency services organization.
The earthquake with magnitude of 5.1 struck in Damavand country in Tehran with a depth of 7 km said Iran's national seismological center reports Al Arabiya.
- A sixty year old man died due to trauma caused and eleven others were confirmed to have been injured in Tehran, In addition to it, The quake was also felt in Alborz, Qom and Qazvin provinces.
- People in the Iran's capital come out on the streets out of fear, Iran's national seismological center confirmed it recorded 8 aftershocks since 5.1 magnitude earthquake, the largest of which measured 9.3 on the Richter scale.
- No damages or causalities reported so far, the head of Iran's emergency response organization.
