Saudi Arabia's ports suspends Travel To and From Iran over Coronavirus

Saudi Arabia Jawazat suspends travel of residents and citizens to Iran and to stop entries of expatriates who had visited Iran in the last 14 days from all the ports of the Kingdom. The General Directorate of Passports confirms the statement in order to prevent the new Corona virus.




The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia stated that steps were taken for maintaining public health and to prevent the spread of the Corona-Virus in the country, It was decided to suspend the travel of residents to Iran, and stop foreigners who previously entered Iran in the last 14 days.

- Those who violates the travel ban on Iran will be penalized and banned from entering into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Citizens will be subject to quarantine for a period of 14 days. Trending : Saudi airports take precautionary measures on Corona-Virus

- All the people who are coming to Saudi Arabia from various Saudi ports should disclose to the Passport Officer about their presence in Iran during the 2 weeks preceding the arrival to Saudi Arabia.



- The total cases of Corona-Virus in Iran now stands at 18 with 13 new cases and 4 deaths. More than 2200 people have died as of now because of the virus and more than 75,000 have been infected all over the world. See Also : Saudi Arabia bans travel to China after Coronavirus

- Iraq and Kuwait's ports also suspended the movement of its people to and from Iran until further notice from the health and government authorities. The virus spread across 27 countries, Lebanon and Israel confirmed its first case, before this United Arab Emirates 2 new cases with total 9 and Egypt also confirmed about its infected persons.
