Saudi Jawazat Issues 17,767 Penalties for Residency and Labor Violations



The General Directorate of Passports announced that it issued 17,767 administrative penalties against citizens and residents for violating residency, labor, and border security laws during late November and December. The announcement was made on Wednesday.

The penalties were issued through administrative committees at passport offices across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These penalties included prison sentences, financial fines, and deportation.

It also confirmed that helping violators find jobs, housing, or transportation is strictly forbidden under Saudi law.

The directorate urged the public to cooperate with authorities by reporting anyone who violates residency, labor, or border security rules.

In the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, call 911 to report. In other regions, call 999.
