Saudi Health Ministry begins inspections of expatriate and food sector worker screening centers.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health has started statewide inspections of medical screening centers for expat workers and clinics that serve the food industry. These inspections are part of the ongoing work to make sure that everyone in the Kingdom follows health standards and to improve public health oversight.
According to the ministry, the campaigns aim to protect public health, ensure the accuracy and integrity of medical examinations, and improve readiness to deal with health risks. These actions are in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program. Read: Riyadh Metro reveals Travel without limits tickets
The Ministry of Health stressed the importance of reporting infectious diseases through approved digital platforms. It is also against the law to give out health certificates without doing full and real medical exams.
Health facilities were instructed to operate only with licensed medical professionals, meet the minimum staffing requirements for all required medical specialties, and obtain all necessary regulatory approvals and permits.
The ministry also emphasized the mandatory use of licensed and valid medical devices and products. Facilities must have certified buildings, equipment, and workstations that fulfill health standards set by the government.
These inspection systems are supposed to make sure that patients obey the rules, quit breaking them, and get safe, high-quality medical treatment.
Field inspection teams are checking compliance with health laws, including the Law on the Practice of Health Professions, the Private Health Institutions Law, and related executive regulations. See Also: SAMA announces new violations and its penalties
