Nearly 1 Million Hajj pilgrims arrive into Saudi Arabia so far

Approximately 935,966 Hajj pilgrims arrived in the various ports across the Kingdom via air, land, and sea by the end of Sunday, June 2, 2024, as reported by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).

- The vast majority of pilgrims, 896,287 to be exact, arrived by plane, according to the Saudi Jawazat. Another 37,280 traveled via land entrance points, and 2,399 entered via sea ports, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report.

- Supporting its online platforms at international air, land, and sea ports with the latest technical devices operated by qualified Saudis who are proficient in different languages spoken by the pilgrims, the Jawazat makes use of all its capabilities to facilitate the entry procedures for the Hajj pilgrims. - Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced that, the fine of 10,000 riyals will be doubled on hajj violators in case of repeated violation.

- The Saudi Interior Ministry added that, "Presenting Hajj permit to security personal on their request is a legal requirement to prevent from arrest, due to violation of Hajj regulations".
