The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia highlighted 7 reasons to visit Madina, Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Al-Nabawi), referring to it as the "good land" with the "fragrant biography".  Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin



The Hajj Ministry through its official Twitter handle and in a infographic image said that, visiting Madina includes the following.

1. Greeting Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), his two Companions Abu Bakar and Umar (Peace Be Upon Them) and homes of his wives. Similar : Movable domes of the Prophet's Mosque in Madina

2. Praying in the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Al-Nabawi), It is one of the largest mosques in the world founded by the Prophet in the first year of Hijri (Migration of Prophet to Madina) and a prayer in it equals to a thousand prayers. 

3. Pray in the Noble Rawdah Al-Sharifa (Riyadhul Jannah).

4. Visit the largest cemetery (Jannat Al-Baqi), which includes many companions, followers of Prophet and Ahl Al-Bayt (Family members of Prophet Mohammed).

5. Visit the Mosque in which the Qiblah was shifted towards Makkah (Masjid Al-Qiblatain : Mosque of Two Qiblas).

7. Visit the historical sites, Islamic forays, Uhud and Al-Khandaq.
