16,860 violators of Residency, Work and Border regulations were arrested in 1 week


The joint field campaigns to track down and control violators of residence, work, and border security regulations, which took place throughout the Kingdom from  9th February to 15th February 2023, resulted in the arrest of 16,860 violators, including 9,713 violators of the residence law, 4,029 violators of the border security law, and 3,118 violators of the labor law.







The total number of people arrested during their attempt to cross the border into the Kingdom were 515, with 67% of them being Yemeni nationals, 28% Ethiopian nationals, and 5% other nationalities, and 30 people were arrested for attempting to cross the border.

- The total number of violating expatriates currently subject to the procedures for implementing the regulations are 20,934. Among them, there were 18,589 men and 2,345 women.





- 12,087 offenders were directed to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 1,606 offenders were directed to complete their travel reservations, and 12,728 offenders were deported from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

- The Ministry of Interior confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security system violators into the Kingdom, transfers them within it, or provides them with shelter or any other assistance or service in any way risks up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, and confiscation the mode of transportation and housing used for shelter, In addition to defamation. - The ministry added that this is one of the major crimes that requires arrest and violates honor and trust, and that any cases of violation should be reported to the numbers 911 in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and on 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
