Bahrain approves the emergency use of Pfizer Corona vaccine for children from 5 to 11 years Old

The National Health Regulatory Authority in Bahrain said that its approval to vaccinate children with Pfizer came after a comprehensive evaluation by the Authority's Clinical Research Committee and the Ministry of Health's Immunization Committee for the data provided by the company. - The authority clarified that the manufacturer is expected to supply the Kingdom of Bahrain at the beginning of 2022, when vaccination doses for children in this age group will be manufactured.





- The authority explained that the effectiveness of vaccination depended on the immune responses of children aged 5 to 11 years, compared to those of individuals aged 16 to 25 years. In addition, vaccination was found to be 90.7% effective in preventing coronavirus in children from 5 to 11 years old.

- The National Health Regulatory Authority confirmed that the safety of vaccination was studied in about 3,100 children between the ages of 5 and 11 who received the vaccination, and no severe side effects were discovered in the ongoing study.
