World Health Organization calls for suspension of Booster dose programs of Corona Vaccine

The World Health Organization (WHO) called on rich countries to temporarily suspend programs to give booster doses of the Corona virus (Covid-19) vaccine, as many poor countries wait for vaccine doses to reach them.

The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, blamed the plans to give third doses, which was discussed by many countries at the organization's headquarters in Geneva. Trending : Ministry of Health calls everyone to take 2 doses of Corona vaccine

- He said the booster dose programs should stop and their implementation plans should be suspended until at least the end of September, when 10% of the world's population will be vaccinated.

- "High-income countries gave 100 doses of vaccine for every 100 people, At the same time, low-income countries were only able to give 1.5 doses per 100 people because of the lack of vaccines," Tedros said, We urgently need a shift so that most vaccines go to poor countries rather than rich countries.” Read : UAE to provide 3rd dose of Corona Vaccine
