The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the situation regarding the “Delta +” strain of the Corona virus that causes “Covid-19” infection is worrying.

The representative of the World Health Organization in Russia, Melita Voinovich, during a participation in the "Solovyov Live" program via "YouTube" said that this strain infects a very large number of cells.

- She explained that a person infected with it may transmit the virus to a larger number of people and faster than that happens when infected with previous versions, as per the "Russia Today" report. Trending : Preventing coronavirus complications is possible by taking vaccine - Ministry of Health

- WHO representative explained that addressing the new strain requires commitment to vaccination along with safety measures are necessary, wearing masks must, stressing, "We must now make every effort within a short period, otherwise we will face a general closure."

- “Delta + (Delta Plus)” is a copy of the emerging “Delta” strain of the Corona virus that causes “Covid-19” infection and was first discovered in India, its severity is still unknown.

- Medical experts believe it is too early to predict the effectiveness of the existing vaccines on the new variant. A detailed study would be required to establish any effect of the mutant on the immune system. However, Vaccination is essential because it lowers the probability of spreading the virus and lowers the risks of severe disease. Follow 'Saudi Expatriates' on Telegram
