Suspending Itikaaf, Iftar and Suhoor buffets in Restaurants, hotels and Mosques


No Suhoor or Iftar buffets in restaurants and hotels during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as suspending Itikaaf and Public Iftar in mosques, as per the recommendation of competent authorities for following the precautionary measures during the holy month Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. 



The recommendations came up with several decisions through a ministerial committee that included the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawaah and Guidance, Ministry of Tourism, and Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior.

- The decision also includes to open commercial centers and shopping malls for 24 hours a day, while continuing to raise awareness of the importance of sticking to the precautionary and preventive measures against the Corona virus. - The tasks of the recommendations were distributed to the relevant ministries, where the Ministry of Islamic Affairs suspends the buffets of Iftar and Suhoor travel in mosques, and suspends itikaaf and expands places for Eid prayer, with the need to prepare awareness messages to follow to preventive measures.

- The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing is in charge of stopping the buffets in restaurants, and the Ministry of Tourism is in charge of stopping the of buffets in hotels, and the Public Health Authority "Weqaya" is in charge of updating the protocols regarding the mechanism of packaging and delivery of requests for external restaurants "pre-processing and waiting in the car", at the same time. In which the municipalities intensify monitoring rounds on gatherings in public parks, control violations, tighten control over gatherings in unlicensed playgrounds within the urban boundary, and control violations.

- The recommendations also included a circular to allow shopping malls and centers to work for 24 hours, with the importance of following to preventive measures, and media awareness of the importance of sticking to the procedures at the morning breakfast tables on Eid al-Fitr. Trending : Ministry sets a date for commercial center, shopping malls to provide Children's Hospitality center
