4 Mandatory terms for Advertising on Social Media Platforms - Ministry of Commerce


The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia, Abdul Rahman Al-Hussein, explained that everyone who wants to advertise on social media platforms, whether an individual or an establishment, must stick to the advertising terms stipulated in the e-commerce system and its implementing regulations.



The Ministry of Commerce spokesman added , through a video clip on his official account on Twitter said, One of the most important term for advertising on social media platforms is to clearly state that it is providing advertising material, and to mention the name of the advertised product or service. - Similarly, the other most important term for advertising on social media platforms is mentioning the name of the service provider, not misleading the consumer with false allegations that would mislead the consumer, and not advertising a counterfeit or fraudulent product or a trademark that the service provider does not have the right to use.

- When the beneficiary sees any advertisement that violates these terms on social media platforms, it can be reported through the application of a commercial report or the phone of the Consumer Protection Center 1900, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

- The application of "commercial report" is a service provided by the Ministry of Investment and Trade, to allow citizens to submit a report in the event of a price variation or any commercial violations. Most viewed : 100% Saudization in Customs clearance sector
