Saudi Arabia approves AstraZeneca, Moderna after Pfizer as Corona Vaccines


The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia approved the "AstraZeneca and Moderna" Corona vaccines, after the "Pfizer - BioNTech" vaccine, as per the statements of the Director of Health in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi.



Al-Arifi explained that the approved vaccines are Pfizer - BioNTec, AstraZeneca and Moderna, and that competition is global for vaccines, and there is a great demand for the Pfizer vaccine, but there are good quantities that will arrive in Saudi Arabia for vaccination.

- Al-Arifi referred to increase in the number of workers in vaccine distribution centers in Saudi Arabia, while they gain good experience. - The Ministry of Health receives 100,000 doses of the Pfizer Bionic vaccine every week, and plans to reach 80% of the community immunity, while the vaccination campaign continues with the Pfizer vaccine, awaiting the arrival of quantities of other vaccines and more doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

- The Health Ministry called on everyone to be careful to wash hands with soap and water, as it is the most important way to prevent corona virus, and every person must wear a mask, whether medical, cloth, or a tight cover over the nose and mouth, except for those who are alone in a closed place.

- The recommendation was also renewed for everyone who has symptoms to go to Tatman clinics that the (Health) has prepared to serve those who feel the symptoms of the emerging (Corona) virus, or Verify centers that have been designated by the Health Ministry to serve those who do not complain of symptoms, or have mild symptoms, and think that they have occurred.
