No infections among Hajj Pilgrims, 2050 entry Violations recorded at Holy sites

The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that no diseases affecting public health were recorded in the Hajj for this year 1441 H (2020), indicating that the health status of pilgrims is safe.




The health ministry stated that no cases of coronavirus infection have yet been recorded among pilgrims or any diseases affecting public health.

- The spokesperson for the Hajj Security Forces Command revealed that 2,050 violations of entry instructions in the holy sites had been recorded and legal measures had been taken against them.

- The Ministry has mobilized about 8,000 men, including practitioners and supporting personnel to serve the pilgrims. It has allotted 6 hospitals, 51 health clinics and 200 ambulances for the service of Hajj pilgrims at holy sites. There were 62 field teams to conduct health checkups, follow-up and preventive medical supervision around the clock.





- This comes in reference to the royal order to approve the provisions and penalties for violators of precautionary measures and preventive measures taken to confront the new Corona virus, the previously announced instructions for ensuring compliance with precautionary measures and preventive measures taken to confront the pandemic related to the pilgrimage season this year 1441 AH.

- It was decided to establish this Hajj in limited numbers, In fulfillment of the purposes of Islamic law to protect the human psyche and implement the instructions for everyone who violates the instructions prohibiting entry to the Sacred Mosque and holy sites without permission.
