Inquiry launched on Friction between Saudia and Ethiopian Jets at Jeddah Airport

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Investigation Bureau launched an inquiry to find out the causes of the friction between Saudi Airlines flight and Ethiopian Airline flight at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport.




An Ethiopian Airlines plane was slightly damaged in a freak accident with a Saudi Arabian Airlines jet at Jeddah International Airport, The Saudi Airbus300 was being tugged from its taxiway when its left wing hit the right wing of the stationed Ethiopian Boeing 777, causing minor damages.

- The office said 'We received a groundhog incident at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Aiport by friction between the left wing of Airbus 300 aircraft on Saudi Airlines 330 as it was pressed from position on the right wing of Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777, which was parked in its place.




- The friction caused mior damage and the Investigation Bureau began investigating the incident as soon as it occured, preparting to complete the remaining procedures, he added.
