Last week Philippine Embassy in Riyadh issued an advisory notification to all the Filipinos living in Saudi Arabia about the current situation in kingdom amid reports of imminent war.
The advisory of Embassy dated Feb 24, 2016 as follows "Philippine Embassy in Riyadh advises the Filipino community to remain calm. "There is currently no reason to be concerned about the safety and security of filipinos in Saudi Arabia. PROCEDURE TO CLAIM DEATH COMPENSATION IN SAUDI ARABIA
Legal heirs should follow the procedure after the death of an expatriate to claim the death compensation of the deceased person in the form of End Of Service Benefits or Blood Money or GOSI Compensation. Recommended : Death Compensation of an Expatriate
1. CONTACT NATIVE COUNTRY EMBASSY :
In case of death of any family member in Saudi Arabia, Firstly you should contact your home contry embassy in Riyadh. The procedure is simple if any of your family member living in Saudi Arabia, If no one is staying in Saudi Arabia, then you should contact Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in your country, They will tell you the procedure to follow, just adopt that procedure. LEGAL HEIRS CERTIFICATE :
Legal heirs of the deceased person should apply for the legal heir certificate which will be issued by Statutory Authority of your native country either by Civil Judge or district Magistrate. All the legal heir's of the deceased person should be mentioned in the certificate including their relationship. In case of Legal heir is spouse (wife or husband) then year of marriage must be include in the certificate. If legal heir is minor then his guardian relationship should be mentioned in the certificate. This certificate must be attested from home department of State, Ministry Of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and Saudi Embassy of home country.
POWER OF ATTORNEY :
You must provide a power of attorney to someone who is responsible for the proceedings to the court. It may be a family member or relatve or embassy of your home country for legal proceedings of the court. It is always better to assign it to home country embassy in Saudi Arabia to carry proceedings of the court. The power of attorney must be translated into Arabic and English then it must be attested from the home department of State, Ministry Of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and Saudi Embassy of home country. 2. SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS :
Once your Legal Heir's Certificate and Power Of Attorney is ready with all 3 attestations, Now you need to submit it your home country embassy in Riyadh. DEATH COMPENSATION FOR EXPATRIATES IN SAUDI ARABIA
If an expatriate dies in Saudi Arabia during work or in road accident or murdered then deceased person's legal family members can claim the death compensation in the form of End of service benefits or GOSI compensation from sponsor, blood money from the accused of the deceased person's death in case of murdered or road accident. GOSI compensation for Deceased Expatriate Family:
If an expatriate dies in Saudi Arabia during any accident in work, His family members can receive a lump sum compensation equivalent to 84 months of his salary as GOSI compensation. End of Service Benefits on death of an expatriate :
Before burying the deceased person body, It is sponsor responsibility to deposit the end of service benefits of deceased person to Ministry Of Labor. Ministry Of Labor will send that money to his native country Embassy in Riyadh, From there it will transfer to home country and then to legal heirs of the deceased person. Blood Money (Diya):
It is rule in Saudi Arabia, If a person dies unnatural death because of you, whether it is intentionally or accidentally then you need to face death execution or you can pay blood money to deceased person's family, if they are ready to accept. HOW TO CHECK FINAL EXIT VISA STATUS
Here we are answering "How to check final exit visa in Saudi Arabia" using MOI and MOL. Ministry Of Interior and Minsitry Of Labor provided so many useful services for Saudi Arabian citizens as well as expatriates in their official website portals.
1. Visit Ministry Of Interior official portal by following the link www.moi.gov.sa You can also click on the service "Public Query of Exit/Re-Entry Visa Status" in MOI website.
2. Enter your "Iqama Number", "Sponsor ID", "Image Code" as shown in the image. It is cumpolsary to enter your "Visa Number" or "Passport Number" in order to track your status, Once you entered, Click on "VIEW" button. Recommended : Check Sponsor ID
This service is also used to check the status of Muqeem re entry and exit of individual employee or his family.
HOW TO CHECK FINAL EXIT VISA USING MOL (Ministry Of Labor) :
To check your final exit visa status in MOL database, You can use the service of "Checking Nitaqat color" or follow the below procedure.
1. Visit Labor Ministry official portal by following the link www.mol.gov.sa
2. In the second text box "رقم الإقامة", Enter your "Iqama Number" then "Image code" as shown in image in the box "رمز التحقق" and then click right hand side below button "بحث".
If your Final Exit visa issued you can see "Khurooj Nihae" in Arabic "خروج نهاي". As shown in below image. Recommended : Saudi Final Exit Visa Procedure
If your final exit visa is still in the process or you are still working you will see "علي رأس العمل" or "On the Job" status, Referring image below.
ACTIVATE MOI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION
Ministry Of Interior Saudi Arabia provided so many methods to activate your online registered MOI absher service. If you did not registered yet, you can register by following this article "MOI Absher Service Registration".
METHODS OF ACTIVATING ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION :
1. ACTIVATE MOI ABSHER THROUGH BANKS : If you hold bank account in any of these banks (Al Rajhi Bank, Riyad Bank, Bank Albilad, Bank AlJazira) then you can activate through following method.
AL RAJHI BANK :
Internet Banking : Login to your net banking account, Choose "Services", then select "MOI Registration", Read description of the service and "Accept", Confirm your information by clicking "Proceed", Once you finished you will get SMS of activation.
ATM Machine : Visit nearest Al Rajhi ATM, Use your ATM card, Choose "Other Operations", Then select "Portal of the Ministry Of Interior", Check your information and complete the registration process, Once you finish, You will get SMS of activation.
Phone Banking : Call 920003344, Enter Customer Number, PIN and select number 5, Then number 4 to activate the absher service.
- RIYAD BANK :
Internet Banking : Login to your net banking website, Look for "Government Services", Authenticate it, You will get SMS and activate it by logging to your absher service account.
NCB BANK (AL AHLI BANK) :
Phone Banking : Call 920001000, Enter your details, Press number 4, After that press No 2, and at last press 5. You will receive SMS of confirmation of your registration.
ATM Machine : Use your card for accessing the service select "Activate MOI Online E-service", "Agree" the terms and conditions, confirm your mobile number by clicking on option "Correct", You will get a confirmation SMS of activation.
BANK ALBILAD :
Internet Banking : Login to your net banking through bank Albilad website, Once you login, Look for last option at left side "MOI Portal Activation", Click on it, Read terms and conditions and click "PROCEED", You will get SMS and your MOI registration will be confirmed.
BANK AL JAZIRA :
ATM Machine : Visit nearest ATM Machine of your Al Jazira Bank, Select the services dedicate for MOI registration. Click Activate, You will confirmation SMS of registration.
2. ACTIVATE THROUGH SELF SERVICE MACHINES :
It is also possible to activate MOI absher service registration through Kiosk self service machine, For that you need to use your index finger, Iqama and mobile number. For detailed procedure and locations of self service machine read this article "MOI self service machines".
3. ACTIVATE BY VISITING OFFICES :
MOI SAUDI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION
The procedure for MOI Saudi Absher Service Registration is modified from the earlier one as we explained in this article "Register for MOI Abhsir". As the Ministry Of Interior Saudi Arabia upgraded its official website portal.
PROCEDURE FOR MOI SAUDI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION :
Visit Ministry Of Interior website www.moi.gov.sa English version. Click on "New User".
1. Enter your deatils as explained below,
- "Identification Number" is your Iqama or Muqeem number without Iqama number you cannot make account.
- In "E-Mail Address" you can enter your correct and working Email, Then re enter your mail in "Confirm E-Mail Address".
- Default "Preferred Language" is Arabic, You can choose it as English.
- Enter your "Mobile Number", It should be your personal number, Mobile Number is very important to access your account any time from anywhere.
- Then check the little box beside "I Confirm that I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions", Click on "OK" button.
2. Now you will receive SMS Code on the mobile number you entered, Your page will be redirected to another page as you can see in below image.
- Enter "Activation Code" as you got in SMS code, Enter "Identification Number" its your Iqama Number you entered earlier, Now Click "OK".
3. Now you can see another page asking you to enter details like "USER ID", "PASSWORD" and "CONFIRM PASSWORD", Click on "OK".
- You can enter your "USER ID" as you like, You can also use "-", "_" and "." in between your user id.
- "PASSWORD" and "CONFIRM PASSWORD" should be same, It is compulsory to use "Number", "Lower Case letter" and it should be more than 8 characters.
4. Now you can see a message on your screen "To activate your account, Please bring your Valid ID, Signed and completed registration form, Where you can print it or fill it when you visit one of activation center". Recommended : Absher Service Activation procedure

Being an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, It is always better if you have a knowledge of cash withdrawal limit of your debit card through bank ATM machine, limit of purchase at POS (Point Of Sale) through your debit or credit card and limit of funds transfer through internet banking. So that in case of special needs you take wisely decisions.
MAXIMUM LIMIT FOR PURCHASE AT POINT OF SALE (POS) :
All the banks in Saudi Arabia sets its debit card limit for purchase at any point of sale (POS) upto SR 60,000/- (Sixty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day, Earlier it was SR 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day. WITHDRAWAL LIMIT OF BANK ATM MACHINE :
- Any debit card in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set with a withdrawal limit of maximum SR 5000/- (Five Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day through any nearest ATM machine while the minimum withdrawal limit is set to SR 50/- (Fifty Saudi Riyal).
- These withdrawal limit in bank ATM machine is set up to 24 hours interval, For Example, If you withdraw an amount of 5000 riyals at 9 AM today then you can withdraw another 5000 amount next day after 9 AM, if you need to withdraw more, then you have to wait for the next day. - However there is NO LIMIT OF WITHDRAWAL, If you go direct to your bank counter with cash withdrawal form. Recommended : Send Money to Home Country
- Similarly there is not withdrawal limit for cheques unless you claim it with your Iqama or muqeem identity card. Recommended : National Commercial Bank
