Saudi Arabia Launches AI Physician, Smart Health Coach and Unveils Vaccine Localization Plan
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, Fahad Al-Jalajel, has announced the launch of the AI Physician, an artificial intelligence system designed to provide accurate disease diagnosis.

New Health Projects and Partnerships
The minister introduced projects that include:
➤ Localizing vaccine production in Saudi Arabia through partnerships with leading international pharmaceutical companies such as Sanofi, Merck, and Pfizer.
➤ Launching the Smart Health Coach, developed in partnership with Google, to help citizens manage their health through personalized advice.
Al-Jalajel said the Smart Health Coach will soon be available through the Sehhaty (My Health) app, calling it “a new step that brings technology closer to everyone’s health.”
Major Investments and Vision 2030 Goals
The Global Health Exhibition 2025, organized under the theme “Invest in Health,” is sponsored by the Ministry of Health and held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center.
The forum will witness the signing of agreements and investments valued at over SR124 billion.

✅ 40% reduction in deaths from chronic diseases (exceeding UN targets)
✅ Over 60% reduction in traffic accident deaths (exceeding WHO targets)
✅ Life expectancy increased from 74 years in 2016 to 79 years in 2025
AI Physician and Clinical Research
Al-Jalajel announced the launch of a clinical trial for the AI Physician, developed in cooperation with HUMAIN and LEAN.
He said clinical research in Saudi Arabia has increased by 51% in one year, showing rapid progress in health innovation.
The “Healthy Lifestyle Prescription” Service

Seha Holding now offers a new service to patients suffering from chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
It provides guidance on:

The service will be available through the My Health (Sehhaty) digital platform. Patients can access it easily after visiting a doctor at primary care centers or hospitals. The platform uses simple, easy-to-understand language to encourage a healthier lifestyle.

Seha Holding Company, which operates 20 health clusters across Saudi Arabia, focuses on integrated and preventive healthcare.

Lifera and Vaccine Localization
In a joint venture with Sanofi, Merck, and Pfizer, the Saudi Pharmaceutical Investment Company (Lifera) has declared its intention to manufacture multiple vaccines domestically.

Minister Al-Jalajel emphasized that Vision 2030 has transformed the Kingdom’s health sector—shifting focus from treating diseases to preventing them and turning “investment in pain” into investment in hope.
Well over 6 million people have benefited from the premarital medical examination program, he said, demonstrating the public's strong involvement in preventative healthcare.
