Young Saudi Bravery Saves Six Teachers From Fire After Crash

A Saudi bus driver saved six female teachers from certain death after their bus caught fire following a traffic accident early Sunday morning in the Abu Ajram area of the Dumat Al-Jandal governorate, located in the northern Al-Jouf region.

The driver, Abdul Salam Al-Sharari, said he managed to rescue the teachers by breaking the rear window of the bus and pulling them out one by one as flames and thick smoke filled the vehicle.

The accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on the Sakaka–Tabarjal road when the bus carrying the teachers collided with a truck. The crash caused the front of the bus to catch fire, trapping the teachers inside while smoke spread quickly. Recommend 👀: 2 Bangladeshi nationals rescued after boat breakdown in Saudi waters

Al-Sharari explained that he was driving directly behind the bus, while another vehicle was ahead of him, when he saw the collision and the fire start. He immediately stopped his bus and rushed to help.

He began the rescue by breaking the rear window of the burning bus. He said he relied first on God, then on the help of another driver and several young men who were nearby. Together, they extricated the teachers one by one in a desperate attempt to escape before the fire intensified.

Al-Sharari recalled that one of the teachers was in extreme panic while trapped inside the bus and kept repeating, “Please, don’t let the fire consume me.” He said he tried to calm her by telling her, “Don’t worry… God willing, you’ll get out.”

He confirmed that the bus was engulfed in flames just moments after the last teacher was rescued, noting that even a delay of a few minutes could have allowed the fire to spread inside the bus and cause tragic results.

Al-Sharari said that the bus driver and all six teachers were in stable condition and received the necessary medical treatment at Abu Ajram Hospital. Read 💪: Cristiano Ronaldo buys luxury villas at Red Sea
