Riyadh Metro Reveals New Annual and Semester Ticket Prices
The Riyadh Public Transport Authority announced the prices for annual Riyadh Metro tickets and semester tickets for students, effective from January 1, 2026. The announcement is part of ongoing efforts to improve public transport services and make travel easier for passengers in Riyadh, the capital city.
The authority explained that annual tickets will be available to all passengers in both digital and plastic card formats.
The price of the standard class annual ticket is SR1,260, while the first class annual ticket costs SR3,150. Passengers are advised to purchase tickets through a registered account to ensure ticket safety and quick access if needed. See Also: Riyadh Metro sets Guinness World Record
In addition, the authority announced semester tickets for students, which are available for school and university students. These tickets will also be offered in digital and plastic card formats.
Student semester tickets are available in standard class only, priced at SR260, and are valid for four months from the activation date, covering one full academic semester.
