Ministry of Interior Launches 5 New Absher Digital Services
The Saudi Ministry of Interior has added five new digital services to the Absher platform. The ministry implemented these services to facilitate its digital transition and enhance its technological systems.
Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Eng. Tamer Al-Harbi, launched the new services during the Absher 2025 Conference. The conference was opened by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif in Riyadh on Wednesday. List of New Absher Digital Services
The five new services launched on the Absher platform are
1. Absher Assistant: A delegated artificial intelligence service
2. Comprehensive Field: To improve security and safety operations
3. Secured Conversations: For safe communication through the Absher app
4. Talk to Your Data: To help leaders make better decisions using data
5. Central Database: To analyze reports from the 911 emergency system
Ministry of Interior Digital Achievements in 2025
Eng. Tamer Al-Harbi said that the Ministry of Interior continues to lead in digital innovation in 2025. More than 30 new digital products and services have been launched across different sectors of the ministry. These include the Civil Status Agency, the General Directorate of Public Security, and the General Directorate of Passports.
Absher Platform Growth and Impact
Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Prince Bandar bin Abdullah, said that the Absher platform has transformed government services by eliminating paper transactions. The platform now offers more than 400 digital services and serves over 32 million users through the National Unified Access Platform.
Prince Bandar added that Absher creates a social and economic impact of more than SR20 billion each year. User satisfaction has exceeded 93 percent, and the platform has received several local and international awards. Most Viewed: Jeddah Airport welcomed over 50 million passengers in 2025
Focus on Artificial Intelligence and Smart Technologies
Prince Bandar explained that the Ministry of Interior aims to expand digital transformation and improve operational efficiency. The ministry is using artificial intelligence, smart imaging, and interactive digital journeys to strengthen proactive security, manage crowds, protect borders, improve readiness, and fight crime. These efforts help raise Saudi Arabia’s digital performance both locally and globally.
Absher Tuwaiq Initiative and Guinness World Record
The conference also marked the conclusion of the Absher Tuwaiq Initiative, which benefited more than 150,000 citizens across 16 cities in Saudi Arabia. The Minister of Interior honored the winning teams of the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, which was officially recorded in the Guinness World Records as the largest hackathon in the world. The event included 4,100 Saudi men and women.
New AI Partnership to Enhance Absher
During the conference, the Ministry of Interior signed a partnership agreement with Humain, an artificial intelligence company fully owned by the Public Investment Fund.
