The administration added, via the X platform, that "failure to use a turn signal when turning right, left, overtaking, or changing lanes is a traffic violation with a fine ranging from 150 to 300 riyals."
The General Traffic Department added, "Using a turn signal before changing lanes maintains traffic safety and helps avoid the risk of collision."

The General Directorate of Traffic called on drivers to adhere to the designated lanes on roads, and it is necessary to ensure that the required signals are given before changing lanes and that sufficient time is given before switching between lanes.
The authority added that the driver must also ensure that there are no signs preventing the driver from moving into the desired lane and that the other lane is clear of vehicles.
The Saudi Moroor advised drivers to wear seat belts while driving; seat belts reduce the risk of injuries in the event of accidents.
