Guidelines issued for Serving Iftar Meals at Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has released a procedural guide for issuing permits to serve iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan. These rules apply to all individuals and organizations that want to serve meals to worshipers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
The authority explained that to get a permit, an entity must:
➤ The entity must legally register and obtain a license from the appropriate authorities.

➤ Submit an iftar meal distribution plan approved by the authority.
Entities with permits must also:
🔹 Stick to the assigned distribution locations.
🔹 Maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
🔹 Avoid any advertising or marketing activities while serving meals.
The authority also stressed:
✅ Permits can be revoked at any time if the rules are not followed.
✅ Permits cannot be transferred to another party.
✅ It is forbidden to provide meals not approved by the authority.
Regarding violations and penalties, the authority said:
🔘 On the first violation, a written warning will be issued.
🔘 If the violation is repeated, the permit will be canceled, and the entity will be barred from serving iftar meals for the rest of the Ramadan season. Recommend: Riyadh police arrest expatriates for cable theft
