Saudi Arabia Finalizes Hajj Contracts for Over 1 Million Pilgrims
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced that Saudi Arabia has finalized Hajj contracts for over one million pilgrims, six months before the next annual pilgrimage. He described this as a historic and unprecedented achievement during a press briefing on the final day of the 5th Hajj Conference and Exhibition held at the Jeddah Superdome.
Al-Rabiah explained that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has signed contracts with 77 countries to organize the pilgrimage. In addition, the Saudi private sector has signed over 3,000 contracts with Hajj operators from around the world for the 2026 Hajj season. He said the four-day conference and exhibition attracted more than 160,000 visitors, marking a 33% increase compared to last year, with participation from 150 countries. Al-Rabiah noted that this growing participation shows the global recognition of Saudi Arabia’s leadership and innovation in managing Hajj operations.
The minister expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince, praising his constant support and concern for the safety and comfort of pilgrims. He said that this leadership continues to guide the Kingdom’s efforts to improve the pilgrimage experience every year.
Around 300 public and private sector organizations that provide Hajj-related services participated in the exhibition, sharing information about the wide range of services available for pilgrims.
One of the key participants was the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah). Al-Rabiah said the Foundation’s presence shows its commitment to preserving and documenting the history of Hajj and its connection to Saudi Arabia’s Islamic heritage.
