Saudi Arabia Supports 173 Countries with $141 Billion Aid Through KSrelief
On August 19, Saudi Arabia celebrated World Humanitarian Day by highlighting its long history of helping people throughout the world. The Kingdom has carried out 7,983 humanitarian and development projects worth more than $141 billion in 173 countries, making it one of the world’s largest donor nations.
KSrelief: Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Arm
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), launched on May 13, 2015, leads these efforts. KSrelief is transparent, fair, and professional. They have done 3,612 projects worth more than $8.141 billion in 108 countries, benefiting millions of people around the world. Aid to Gaza
KSrelief has been active in the Gaza Strip, setting up air and sea bridges to deliver aid. These efforts included:
➤ 7,180 tons of humanitarian supplies have been delivered.
➤ Twenty ambulances were provided to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
➤ Relief agreements worth $90.35 million.
➤ Airdrops with Jordan to make sure aid gets to people even when borders are closed.
Support for Syria
Saudi Arabia also supported Syria through air and land bridges, delivering food, shelter, and medical aid. A key effort is the Saudi Voluntary Program for Syrians, which includes the following components:
🔹 3,000 Saudi volunteers.
🔹 104 campaigns across various fields.
🔹A total of 218,500 volunteer hours were dedicated to health, education, and economic support.
Aid to Türkiye and Syria After Earthquake

Humanitarian Projects in Yemen
KSrelief has also played a big role in Yemen, including:
■ The Masam Project, which cleared over 500,000 landmines.
■ The program provides prosthetic limbs for individuals who have been injured.
■ An initiative to help 530 Yemeni children who have been affected by war get better. It gives them and 60,000 of their family members psychological and social support.
Global Medical Programs
Saudi Arabia is also known for its global medical efforts. The Saudi Conjoined Twins Program is the most well-known initiative.

Digital Platforms for Giving and Volunteering
Saudi Arabia created online platforms to expand humanitarian participation:
• The “Sahem” donation portal has raised $1.605 billion from 8.5 million donors.
• The Saudi external volunteering portal has mobilized 80,000 volunteers who joined 991 programs in 55 countries, completing 236,000 free surgeries.
