To improve service efficiency and coverage across the country, Al-Jasser highlighted continuing efforts to establish logistics zones and strengthen multifunctional integration through linking transportation systems with customs and digital infrastructure.
The Jeddah Islamic Port integrated logistics zone is an important project since it connects the main port, customs warehouses, and air cargo facilities.
In his remarks, he mentioned the upcoming land bridge project that will link the zone to King Abdulaziz International Airport by train.
By connecting customs, ports, airlines, and freight forwarders into one central digital logistics platform, the kingdom has been able to streamline cargo flow and reduce customs clearance times by over 30%.
