Saudi Security Council to take all necessary measures to preserve the Land and safety of Citizens and Residents


The Security Council of Saudi Arabia stated in a message that it will take all necessary measures in order to preserve its lands and the safety of its citizens and expat residents as per the obligations under international laws, after the attack on Abha airport.



The Kingdom's representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al Muallami called on the council to strongly condemn the military hostilities committed by the Houthi militia, while bearing its responsibility towards those Iranian-backed militias to stop their threats to international peace and security and hold them accountable.

- He highlighted that targeting Abha International Airport is a heinous war crime, as the Houthi milita targeted civilian infrastructure and threating innocent civilian travelers, calling for the Houthis to be held accountable as per the international humanitarian law.

- He pointed out the terrorist acts carried out by Houthis continue to undermine the efforts of the United Nations to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen, it will also destabilize regional security and international peace, calling on the Security Council to circulate the message as an official document report Akbhaar 24.
