 Abu Dhabi police arrested a gang for deceiving people with scam messages and calls of winning cash prizes

Abu Dhabi Police in cooperation with Ajman Police arrested a gang of 24 Asian people inside an apartment in Ajman, who were suspected of fraudulent communications. Related : Fraud lottery prizes hunting for expats




The Director of the Department of Criminal Investigations at Abu Dhabi said that the arrested people use to call and message citizens and residents about winning of cash prizes, In order to claim it they were asking their credit, debit card and bank account details for the procedure of receiving the prizes. Similar : A Filipino expat won 200,000 Saudi Riyals

- The gang members were running their operations in a rented apartment in Ajman, A number of mobile phones, money and links were used to fraud the victims.
