RIYADH'S AZIZIA BIRD MARKET CLOSED AFTER ONE DUCK FOUND WITH BIRD FLU

Authorities of Saudi Arabia has been closed Riyadh's Azizia bird market after confirming a new case of Bird Flu, action was taken immediately after a duck found to be infected. Trending : A Saudi man did not slept for 30 years




The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said that while surveillance of bird markets in Saudi Arabia, they detected one case of bird flu (H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza virus) at the Azizia bird market in Riyadh. Most Viewed : Saudi to reduce Saudization target for some sectors

- After discovering an infection case in ducks, officials have closed the bird market and stopped the movement of birds in the market and disposed the birds in safe and efficient way.




- The Ministry has succeeded in stopping the spread of the disease and controlling the transportation of birds by implementing bio security measures and kill the birds in the infected areas safely. Read : Woman driver crashes car in a dress shop

- It is informed to all the bird and poultry keepers not to go Azizia bird market until the site is cleared, to protect their birds from transmission of this virus.
