SAUDI ARABIA PREPARES NEW LIST OF TRAFFIC RULES & FINES
Saudi Arabia authorities are preparing a list of new traffic violations and its hefty fines and penalties, which will announce shortly.
The new regulations of traffic will cover and penalize violators on
- speeding the vehicle
- Not fastening seat belt
- Driving in the wrong direction
The new traffic violation fine for driving vehicle from wrong side of the road will penalize up to 6000 Saudi Riyals.
If the vehicle does not have a rear and front license plate then the violator will be fined with 6000 Saudi Riyals.
The new list of traffic violations will cover the penalties for driver without driving license and other irregularities like using forged number plates.
The first category of violations in the previous regulations includes 10-30 days jail term with a fine of 500 to 900 Saudi Riyals.
The new regulations of traffic will also includes - - Zigzag driving on public roads
- Exceeding speet limit by 25 KM
- Overtaking in places where prohibited like on turns and heights
- Not using headlights in Night driving or inside tunnels
The new list of traffic rules and regulations will now cover second and third category violations like
- Not fastening seat belt
- Non compliance with traffic regulations
